Mr. Darrow practices in the areas of patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret law, with a focus on litigation and licensing.

Mr. Darrow's litigation background includes serving as a law clerk to Federal District Judge Paul D. Borman in Detroit, practicing intellectual property law at a large international law firm, and litigating numerous cases dealing with intellectual property issues. Sample representations include the following:

Successfully represented his client in a dispute concerning ownership of patents and technology, getting the case dismissed on summary judgment.
Successfully represented a client in a copyright infringement lawsuit, getting the case dismissed on summary judgment.
Participated in "Markman" hearings in patent infringement cases.
Obtained a temporary restraining order preventing a former employee from disclosing his client's trade secrets.
Drafted patent clearance and freedom to operate opinions.
