TROY, MI, September 22, 2016 – Troy, Michigan-based intellectual property law firm Young Basile Hanlon & MacFarlane, P.C. announced today that it is expanding its national presence with the addition of former Fish & Richardson associate Eric Keller in Boston.

Mr. Keller’s practice focuses on patent law. He has written and prosecuted patent applications in a variety of fields, including wireless networks, cloud computing, image and video processing, speech recognition and wearable electronics. He has worked on re-examinations of patents in the USPTO and handled intellectual property litigation matters in various United States District Courts, the 1st Circuit and the Federal Circuit.

Prior to practicing law, Mr. Keller had over six years of experience as an engineer and entrepreneur in the wearable electronics, defense and telecommunications industries. He has experience with signal processing, digital communications, machine learning, PCB design and layout and developing embedded software for real-time applications.

Mr. Keller received his Juris Doctor from Stanford Law School in 2007, his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2001 and his Bachelor of Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1999. He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and in the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
